42-Car Field Set for 2025 Michelin Pilot Challenge Daytona Opener

A total of 42 cars will compete in the 2025 Michelin Pilot Challenge opener at the four-hour BMW M Endurance Challenge at Daytona, split between 26 GT4 cars in the GS class and 16 TCR touring cars.

Two new models will make their series debut: the BMW M4 GT4 EVO and Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2. Turner Motorsport, Auto Technic Racing, and CarBahn with Peregrine Racing will each field the new BMW, while RAFA Racing, Hattori Motorsports, and Kingpin Racing will run the Toyota.

Defending GS champions Team TGM return with two Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 'Evo' models. The field also includes five Ford Mustang GT4s, five Porsche 718 Cayman GT4s, one McLaren Artura GT4, and one Mercedes-AMG GT4.

In the TCR class, Bryan Herta Autosport leads with four Hyundais out of the seven total entered. The class will also feature the American debut of the Cupra Leon VZ TCR, run by Gou Racing, plus five Audi RS3 LMS TCRs and three Honda Civic TCRs.

Notable driver lineups include:

  • Luca Mars/Jan Heylen (RS1 Porsche)
  • Billy Johnson Jr./Bob Michaelian (KoHR Ford Mustang)
  • Mason Filippi/Harry Gottsacker (BHA Hyundai)
  • Ryan Eversley/Celso Neto (PRLA Audi)

The race begins Friday, January 24 at 1:45pm ET, with live coverage available on Peacock in the US and IMSA TV internationally.
