20-Year-Old Yankowski Claims First DIRTcar Nationals Victory Against Rudolph

Alex Yankowski secured his first DIRTcar Nationals victory at Volusia Speedway Park, holding off a determined Erick Rudolph in an intense 30-lap Feature race. The 20-year-old from Covington Township, PA, claimed his third career Super DIRTcar Series win and a $5,000 prize.

Starting from second position, Yankowski quickly overtook pole-sitter Peter Britten early in the race. Despite multiple cautions and a strong challenge from Rudolph, particularly in the closing laps, Yankowski maintained his lead to claim victory.

Rudolph finished second, matching his best DIRTcar Nationals performance. Defending Super DIRTcar Series champion Mat Williamson rounded out the podium after an exciting battle with Larry Wight, who finished fourth. Peter Britten completed the top five.

The win puts Yankowski atop the DIRTcar Nationals point standings with 303 points, leading Justin Haers by 10 points. Current standings:
