14-year-old Garrett Benson will join the American Sprint Car Series (ASCS) National Tour for 2025, driving the Nathan Benson Motorsports No. 2B car. The young driver from Concordia, MO, demonstrated strong potential in his initial Tour appearances last year.

In his three ASCS appearances in 2024, Benson showed consistent improvement, notably qualifying for the outside pole position at Arrowhead Speedway. Despite an early crash ending his night, his competitive showing bolstered confidence for the upcoming season.
Benson's racing background includes extensive experience in Micro Sprint divisions, progressing through Junior, Restricted, and 600cc classes. He made his 305 Sprint Car debut in 2023 before advancing to 360 Sprint Cars with ASCS.
The decision to join ASCS was influenced by several factors:
- Structured schedule with tow money and points fund
- Enhanced exposure through DIRTVision coverage
- World Racing Group's (WRG) new direction and resources
While focused on his ASCS campaign, Benson maintains aspirations of eventually competing with the World of Outlaws. He'll race alongside established champions including Seth Bergman, Blake Hahn, Sam Hafertepe Jr., and Jason Martin.
Benson's ASCS National Tour rookie season begins April 12 at Salina Highbanks Speedway in Salina, OK. His team receives support from various sponsors including Engler Machine & Tool, Don's Diesel, Quality Traffic Control, and several others.
