
Woolridge Claims Dramatic COTA Victory as Leaders Run Dry at Final Flag
In a dramatic turn of events at Circuit of The Americas, Jonathan Woolridge secured his second career victory in the IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge when the two leading cars ran out of fuel on the final lap.

Woolridge, driving the No. 54 MLT Motorsports Ligier JS P320, inherited the lead after Oscar Tunjo and Valentino Catalano's Gebhardt Duqueine cars ran dry just before the white flag. The victory marked Woolridge's first win since Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in 2023.

- Brian Thienes finished second and won Bronze Cup in the No. 77 Forte Racing Ligier
- Mirco Schultis took third in the No. 70 Mishumotors Ligier
- Catalano maintains championship lead with 960 points, Woolridge moves to second with 900
In GTDX class, Jake Walker claimed his first victory in the No. 6 Turner Motorsport BMW M4 GT3 after pole-sitter Adam Adelson spun in the esses. Walker finished just 0.429 seconds behind overall winner Woolridge, with AJ Muss taking second in the Ferrari 296 GT3.
GSX class saw Kiko Porto continue his dominance, winning his third straight race in the No. 8 RAFA Racing Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2. Porto leads the championship with a perfect 1,050 points, followed by Patrick Wilmot and Justin Di Benedetto tied at 820 points.
