"I am very happy to be on the front row," Verstappen stated, acknowledging that Red Bull had struggled significantly during first practice. The defending champion praised his qualifying lap, particularly highlighting the challenge of transitioning from medium to soft tires without reference points.

Red Bull's current situation isn't characterized by major handling issues, but rather an overall lack of pace compared to competitors like McLaren. Verstappen views this unexpected front-row start as a motivational boost for the team, emphasizing the importance of maximizing performance during challenging periods.

Looking ahead to the Sprint race, Verstappen anticipates strong competition from the McLaren duo, with Oscar Piastri starting third and Lando Norris sixth. While acknowledging the difficulty in maintaining position against the faster McLarens, Verstappen remains hopeful for competitive racing conditions.

The result marks a significant achievement for both Hamilton, securing pole in just his second race weekend with Ferrari, and Verstappen, who continues to extract maximum performance despite Red Bull's current pace deficit.
