
Trans Am Announces Historic 18 Legends to Form Inaugural Hall of Fame Class
Trans Am Series announces 18 legendary figures as inaugural Hall of Fame inductees, to be honored February 21 at Sebring International Raceway. The diverse class represents nearly 60 years of America's longest-running professional road racing series.

The inaugural class includes:
- John Clagett - Former President who led Trans Am's revival and growth
- Wally Dallenbach Jr. - Youngest champion at age 22, won two consecutive titles (1985-86)
- Mark Donohue - Dominated with 29 victories between 1967-1971
- Chris Dyson - Three-time TA class champion (2021-2023) with 26 wins
- Ron Fellows - 20-time race winner and four-time championship runner-up
- George Follmer - Only driver to win Trans Am and Can-Am championships in same year (1972)
- Ernie Francis Jr. - Seven-time champion across GT and TA classes
- Paul Gentilozzi - Record holder with 31 TA class wins and five championships
- Dan Gurney - Racing legend and innovator who won in 1967
- Parnelli Jones - Seven wins in 29 races between 1967-1971
- Tommy Kendall - Four-time champion with 28 career wins
- Roger Penske - Legendary team owner with multiple championships
- Greg Pickett - Race winner across six decades (1970s-2020s)
- Scott Pruett - Three-time champion with 22 wins
- Willy T. Ribbs - Groundbreaking driver with 17 career victories
- Jack Roush - Dominant team owner with multiple driver and manufacturer titles
- Amy Ruman - First female Trans Am race winner and champion
- Bob Tullius - Won inaugural Trans Am race and two championships
The induction ceremony coincides with the 2025 season opener at Sebring International Raceway, where Trans Am held its first race in 1966. The weekend will also feature Historic Trans Am racing, showcasing significant vehicles from the series' rich history.
