A Ford Mustang EcoBoost has shattered quarter-mile records, achieving an 8.985-second pass and establishing itself as the world's quickest EcoBoost-powered vehicle. Built by Jessie Ringley and Engineered Motorsport Solutions (EMS), this purpose-built drag car showcases the potential of Ford's 2.3L turbocharged platform.
The engine features extensive modifications, including:
- Sleeved and welded block
- Custom Mahle pistons
- Wiseco Boostline connecting rods
- Factory crankshaft (keyed)
- 10:1 compression ratio
- Speed Perf6rmanc3 ARP head/main studs
