
Seavey Dominates Volusia, Cummins Claims DIRTcar Nationals Championship
Logan Seavey dominated the second night of Winter Dirt Games XVI at Volusia Speedway Park, leading all 30 laps to secure his third USAC feature win at the venue—making him the first driver to achieve this milestone. The victory marked Seavey's 25th USAC National Sprint Car career win, tying him with Steve Butler, Jay Drake, and Parnelli Jones.

Kyle Cummins finished second and claimed the Big Gator trophy as the overall USAC champion of the 2025 DIRTcar Nationals. Cummins and third-place finisher Daison Pursley tied with 157 points, but Cummins won the tiebreaker due to his Monday night victory.

The race featured multiple cautions and restarts, with Seavey successfully defending his lead against Cummins' challenges, particularly during two green-white-checker finishes. Kale Drake made an impressive charge from 19th to finish fifth, earning hard charger honors.
Notable performances included Daison Pursley becoming the 12th USAC National Sprint Car driver to set fast time during the first two events of a season, and Harley Burns earning the Inferno Armor's Fire Move of the Night after advancing from ninth to third in the semi-feature.
The USAC AMSOIL Sprint Car National Championship continues with the next four races scheduled for February 12-15, 2025, at Ocala Speedway in Florida.
