
Roadrunners Set to Begin Historic 35th Season at Big Diamond Speedway
The Roadrunners are celebrating their 35th season at Big Diamond Speedway in 2025, marking a significant milestone for this thrilling full-fender division at the 3/8-mile oval.

Dirt modifieds racing on track
The 2024 season showcased exceptional racing, with eight of the top-10 drivers securing feature victories. Alex Schoffstall led with six wins and set a new all-time wins record at 34 victories. Andrew Fayash III claimed his third championship through outstanding consistency, matching Dean Ulsh's record for most titles.
Notable performers included:
- Kris Ney (3rd in points, 1 win)
- Chuck Fayash (4th, 3 wins, including Full Fender Frenzy victory)
- Mike Reichert (5th, 3 wins, two-time champion)
- Jim Kost (6th, 1 win, most heat race wins across all classes)
- Jarod Bassininsky (8th, 3 wins in breakout year)
The 2025 season kicks off with an open practice on Sunday, March 30 (noon-4:00 pm), followed by the 53rd Season Opener "Thaw Brawl" on April 4 at 7:15 pm. The opener features:

- 602 Crate Sportsman ($1053 to win)
- Roadrunners ($453 to win)
- Big Creek Concrete 602 Crate Sportsman
April 11 brings the Money in the Mountains/Fritz Roehrig Memorial featuring a 50-lap Modified race with a $10,000 prize to the winner.
