The Maserati GranTurismo Folgore combines stunning looks with electric performance, featuring three electric motors that deliver 761hp. This electric grand tourer can sprint from 0-60mph in 2.7 seconds (2.9 seconds tested) and offers a claimed range of 270 miles.

Charging capabilities are impressive at 270kW, enabling quick top-ups during long journeys. The drivetrain setup includes one motor at the front and two at the rear, each producing 340hp individually.

The interior showcases premium materials with leather and carbon fiber throughout. Two touchscreens handle most controls, though the system can be occasionally unresponsive. Physical paddles control regenerative braking and launch control, but one-pedal driving isn't available.

While the front seats offer excellent comfort and positioning, rear space is tight but usable for adults on short trips. The battery placement reduces trunk space to 270 liters, with no frunk available.

Despite its considerable weight, the Folgore handles impressively well with precise steering, though feedback could be better. The ride is firm but composed, and the artificial engine sound adds to the experience. Traction is exceptional thanks to the triple-motor setup.

The main drawback is the £200,000 price tag, which seems steep even considering the performance and luxury. However, company car drivers benefit from relatively low BIK tax at £1,800 annually. Be aware that both electric vehicles and Maseratis typically experience significant depreciation.
