The World of Outlaws Late Model Series had a historic 2024 season, marking its 20th anniversary since revival with several notable achievements and record-breaking performances.

Brandon Sheppard claimed his record-breaking fifth World of Outlaws championship, showcasing exceptional consistency with 13 podium finishes, 23 top fives, and 35 top 10s. His success began with winning a third Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals Big Gator Championship at Volusia Speedway Park.

Bobby Pierce, despite an early setback at Volusia, delivered an outstanding season with 28 top fives, 33 top-10s, and 13 Series wins. His achievements included major victories at the Illini 100, NAPA Gopher 50, Prairie Dirt Classic, USA Nationals, and World Finals, accumulating $1.1 million in earnings.

Notable performers included Nick Hoffman, Ryan Gustin, and Brian Shirley, each securing five wins during the season. Hoffman finished third in points, while Gustin thrived with a new team and car, and Shirley showed remarkable improvement after a mid-season chassis change.

Key Season Highlights:

  • Dustin Sorensen earned MD3 Rookie of the Year
  • Longhorn Chassis won Chassis Builder of the Year
  • Clements Racing Engines received Engine Builder of the Year
  • Tim Douglas won Integra Crew Chief of the Year

The 2024 season also honored the "Dirty Dozen" from the 2004 revival, with several original members still active in various roles, including current Series director Steve Francis and legendary drivers like Rick Eckert and Chub Frank.
