The 65-year-old veteran brings extensive superspeedway experience to the team, with over 800 NASCAR national series starts and multiple victories at Daytona International Speedway across the Xfinity Series, Craftsman Truck Series, and ARCA Menards Series.
Wallace's return to the Daytona 500 marks a fresh start in 2025, following the loss of his wife Carla to cancer in January 2024. "I am very excited to be teamed up with Carl Long and the complete MBM Motorsports team," Wallace said, noting his previous success at the track, including winning the inaugural NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Daytona.
Team owner Carl Long arranged the partnership after securing a Yates engine contract for the 500 in November. Long, who previously worked with Wallace at JGL Racing, praised the driver's mental skill and expertise in superspeedway racing, calling him "the best choice among drivers to be able to race our way into the Daytona 500."
Coble Enterprises, specializing in residential and commercial property management, will support the No. 66 team as an associate sponsor at Daytona.
