
Moran Edges Overton in Thrilling Lucas Oil Late Model Opener at Ocala
Devin Moran captured the 30-lap $7,000 Wieland Winter Nationals main event at Ocala Speedway, securing his 17th career Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series victory. Moran took the lead on lap 24 from Brandon Overton, who had led the first 23 laps.
Overton finished a close second, just .0264 seconds behind Moran, after passing Jonathan Davenport in the final laps. Davenport completed the podium, followed by Carson Ferguson and Hudson O'Neal rounding out the top five.

Moran's victory marked his second career win at Ocala and his second consecutive win this season. His Double Down Motorsports Longhorn Chassis, powered by a Cornett Racing Engine, proved dominant in the closing laps.
The race featured intense battles throughout, particularly during the final five laps following a restart. Traffic played a crucial role, creating a three-way battle for the lead between Moran, Overton, and Davenport before Moran secured the victory.
