Stangle's decision to transition from spec racing to Big Block racing comes from his desire to be competitive in major shows. He's already proven his potential, nearly winning the 2023 championship season-opener at Bridgeport Motorsports Park, finishing just 0.056 seconds behind Mat Williamson.
The Neshanic Station, NJ driver will begin his championship pursuit at New Egypt Speedway on March 29. While familiar with tracks like Georgetown Speedway and Big Diamond Speedway, Stangle acknowledges the challenge of racing at new venues throughout the season.
His 2025 season kicks off at Volusia Speedway Park during Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals (Feb. 12-15), marking his sixth consecutive year at the "World's Fastest Half Mile." His previous best finish there was ninth in 2022.
"I only race Big Blocks maybe five times a year," Stangle explains. "Everything by us is totally different than what the [Super DIRTcar Series] usually does. So, it's going to be a big change."
To help navigate his rookie season, Stangle will receive guidance from five-time Series winner Anthony Perrego. The duo plans to pit together, with Perrego offering advice and support throughout the campaign.
Despite the anticipated challenges, Stangle remains focused on gaining experience and making steady progress throughout his rookie season. His journey begins at the Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals, where he'll take his first steps toward establishing himself in the Super DIRTcar Series.
