PREMA Racing made an impressive debut with Robert Shwartzman taking third place (+0.175s) in the No. 83 Chevy, having briefly led the session twice. The remaining positions were filled by Callum Ilott (+0.247s), Colton Herta (+0.269s), and rookie Jacob Abel (+1.451s).

"We had a good program trying different things on the three different cars, and I think we learned a bunch that should help us when we come back here in March," Ericsson commented after the session.

Abel completed the most laps with 69, followed by Ericsson (60), Shwartzman (54), Herta (53), Kirkwood (52), and Ilott (50). The rookie described it as his "first day as an IndyCar driver," focusing on fundamentals like pit stops and track procedures.

Notable at the test was the presence of former Ed Carpenter Racing driver Rinus VeeKay, who is being considered for the last remaining seat in the series with Dale Coyne Racing's No. 18 Honda.
