
Ligier Junior Formula Championship Launches, Replacing F4 Series for 2025 Season
The Ligier JS F4 Series is evolving into the Ligier Junior Formula Championship (Ligier JFC) for the 2025 season, offering young racers an accessible entry point into professional motorsports.

Racing cars at starting grid
The championship provides a cost-efficient platform for drivers as young as 14 to transition from karting to car racing. Competitors use the Ligier JS F416 chassis, equipped with Honda engines serviced by Mountune USA and Hankook racing tires.
The 2025 season schedule includes six race weekends:
- NOLA Motorsports Park (March 27-30)
- Road America (May 15-18)
- Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course (June 19-22)
- New Jersey Motorsports Park (July 31-August 3)
- VIRginia International Raceway (September 18-21)
- Barber Motorsports Park (October 17-19)

Race cars competing on track
The series champion receives a comprehensive scholarship to compete in the FIA-certified Formula 4 United States Championship (F4 U.S.) the following season. This prize package includes:
- FIA-approved Ligier JS F422 chassis
- Ligier Storm engine
- Two sets of Hankook tires per event
- Race entry fees
The championship is sanctioned by Parella Motorsports Holdings (PMH) and serves as the foundation of their open-wheel racing ladder system, providing a clear pathway to higher levels of motorsport including IndyCar, Formula 1, and IMSA competition.
All races will be streamed live on SpeedTour.TV, with the season opener taking place at NOLA Motorsports Park.
