Despite thorough preparation, including simulator time and pit practice at Hendrick Motorsports, Legge's debut with Live Fast Motorsports didn't go as planned. Running the No.78 Chevrolet, she completed 210 of 312 laps before a spin with 98 laps remaining collected Daniel Suarez, who was running in sixth position.

The incident sparked discussions about NASCAR's driver approval process and the limited practice time available to newcomers. With current condensed weekend schedules offering less than 30 minutes of practice time, the transition for new drivers has become increasingly challenging.

Legge has actively addressed the situation by reaching out to NASCAR officials, team owners, and Suarez himself. The veteran driver appreciated Suarez's understanding response, acknowledging the difficulties faced by newcomers in the sport without adequate testing opportunities.

Despite the criticism and disappointment, Legge remains committed to NASCAR racing. The sanctioning body has approved her for road courses and short ovals, with suggestions to gain more experience in the Xfinity Series.

"All this does is make me dig my heels in and go, you know what, I'm going to prove everybody wrong, because I know that I'm a good race car driver and this was just a blip in the matrix," Legge affirmed, demonstrating her resilience and determination to succeed in NASCAR competition.
