Starting from fourth position, Berry showcased impressive performance throughout the 312-lap race, maintaining an average running position of 9.1. He finished sixth in the first stage and tenth in the second stage, demonstrating consistent racing throughout the event.
Despite facing a left-rear wheel issue during a pit stop and navigating through a seven-car crash on lap 99, Berry's skillful driving kept the No. 21 Ford competitive. The result marks a significant turnaround for the team, which had finished 25th or worse in the first three races of the season.
The strong performance helped the team climb 12 positions in the point standings, moving from 33rd to 21st. This achievement is particularly noteworthy as it comes just four weeks into Berry's partnership with the team under crew chief Miles Stanley.
"I felt like myself again," Berry remarked. "It is amazing what you can do when the car is handling like that. It was really solid and staying underneath me. I am super proud of these guys."
The historic finish represents a promising development for both Berry and Wood Brothers Racing, suggesting potential for continued success in the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season.
