In the GTP class, Wayne Taylor Racing's return to Cadillac marks a significant shift. Despite limited testing time with their new V-Series.Rs, driver Ricky Taylor notes the extensive evolution in manufacturer support compared to the DPi era. Louis Deletraz highlights notable differences between the Cadillac and his previous Acura ARX-06, particularly in power delivery and traction.

Meyer Shank Racing makes its comeback with Acura, while Lamborghini's SC63 program continues in IMSA GTP despite their WEC exit. Reigning champions Porsche Penske Motorsport aim to defend their title with roster changes and suspension updates to the 963.

In GTD PRO, AO Racing's Laurin Heinrich expresses confidence in their "Rexy" Porsche's prospects following their 2024 championship. The class sees exciting developments with Seb Priaulx joining Ford as a factory driver and Trackhouse by TF Corvette bringing an all-star lineup including Shane van Gisbergen and Scott McLaughlin.

The GTD class presents intriguing challenges, particularly for Mercedes-AMG, as they adapt to newly required torque sensors. Stefan Wendl, Mercedes-AMG's customer racing boss, acknowledges their unique position as the only manufacturer without prior sensor experience from WEC participation.

The three-day testing period begins Friday, setting the stage for the upcoming Rolex 24 at Daytona.
