Formula 1 testing reveals Ferrari's 2025 car shows promising improvements, despite an early end to Lewis Hamilton's session due to telemetry concerns.

Team principal Fred Vasseur expressed confidence in the car's development, particularly noting enhancements to the front suspension. However, he emphasized that true performance assessment must wait until Melbourne, given the significant temperature differences between testing conditions (10-15°C) and race conditions (45°C).

Hamilton, preparing for his Ferrari debut, remained positive about the test despite the early stoppage: "Overall it's been a great few days and we've made some strong progress as a team. We've managed to gather a lot of good information to build on before the season starts."

Meanwhile, Mercedes showed promising signs with George Russell topping the final day's times. Andrew Shovlin, their trackside engineering director, reported successful improvements to the W15's weaknesses and noted they completed the most laps of any team during testing.

Ferrari's ambitions remain high for 2025, with Vasseur stating their goal to compete for both championships. The team will continue preparations for the season opener in Melbourne, where track conditions will provide a more accurate picture of the competitive order.

The varying weather conditions during testing, reminiscent of Las Vegas rather than typical Bahrain conditions, make it challenging to draw definitive conclusions about team performance rankings before the first race in Melbourne.
