Felix Roy, a Super DIRTcar Series competitor, is making a strategic shift in 2025 by adding Albany-Saratoga Speedway to his racing schedule on Friday nights. This decision follows his two-season experience with the Series and aims to mirror the successful approach of defending champion Mat Williamson.

The Napierville, QC driver is transitioning from running a 358 Modified at Autodrome Granby to compete in the 800-horsepower Big Block Modified division. This change comes through a partnership with Chris Reckner from Elmo's Speed and Supply.

Roy's choice of Albany-Saratoga isn't random - he's already achieved podium finishes there in both Super DIRTcar Series and DIRTcar 358 Modified Series events. The track's characteristics match those he grew up racing on in Quebec, making it a natural fit for his driving style.

The move to weekly Big Block racing is part of Roy's broader strategy to improve his Super DIRTcar Series performance. Despite securing seven top 10 finishes in 19 races last year, he aims for more consistent top-5 and top-10 placements in 2025, targeting a fifth or sixth-place championship finish.

His 2025 season kicks off with the Super DIRTcar Series championship events at New Egypt Speedway on March 29 and Can-Am Speedway on April 12. The team has invested significantly in cars and motors during the offseason to support these ambitious goals.
