The Ferrari and Alpine cars of Leclerc and Gasly were found to be 1kg underweight, with both teams acknowledging there were no mitigating circumstances for the infringement. The teams confirmed it was a genuine error on their part.
Hamilton's Mercedes failed inspection due to excessive wear on the rearward skids. The team admitted this was due to a setup mistake with no other contributing factors.
These disqualifications significantly impacted the final race standings. The revised points positions are:
- 5th: Esteban Ocon (Haas)
- 6th: Kimi Antonelli
- 7th: Alex Albon
- 8th: Ollie Bearman
- 9th: Lance Stroll
- 10th: Carlos Sainz
Gasly, who originally finished 11th, would have benefited from the Ferrari disqualifications if not for his own technical violation. As a result, Alpine remains the only team without points this season.
The FIA stewards confirmed all measurements and procedures were performed correctly during the post-race inspection, with no challenges to their findings from any of the affected teams.
