The production run of ten vehicles was completed by Spark Racing Technologies near Paris, following extensive testing in France and Scotland. The testing program accumulated mileage equivalent to three full racing seasons, with notable drivers including Le Mans winner Romain Dumas and Extreme E veterans Hedda Hosaas, Timmy and Kevin Hansen, and Catie Munnings.

Key specifications of the Pioneer 25:

  • Power output: 400kW (550 bhp)
  • Acceleration: 0-62 mph in 4.5 seconds on all surfaces
  • Climbing capability: 130% gradient
  • Fuel cell: Currently equipped with Symbio units (Stellantis group)

A significant development for the upcoming FIA Extreme H World Cup is that manufacturers will be allowed to use their own production-based hydrogen fuel cells, though the series remains single-make for the vehicle itself.

Alejandro Agag, Extreme H founder and CEO, emphasized that these vehicles represent the future of sustainable motorsport, while Spark chairman Nicolas Wertans highlighted how the project has pushed the boundaries of hydrogen technology in racing, aiming to inspire future clean energy solutions.
