EVgo Partners with Chevron to Add Fast Charging at Gas Stations
EVgo has partnered with Chevron to install DC fast charging stations at select gas stations across California, marking a significant shift in traditional fuel infrastructure.
The initiative launches with a 100kW fast charging station in Menlo Park, with additional locations under construction throughout Los Angeles and the Bay Area, including Aliso Viejo, Manhattan Beach, and Venice.
This collaboration demonstrates the growing acceptance of electric vehicles in the mainstream automotive market, with traditional fuel providers adapting to changing consumer demands. As EVgo CEO Cathy Zoi notes, this partnership helps traditional fueling stations participate in the expanding EV ecosystem.
The 100kW charging capacity ensures rapid charging times for compatible electric vehicles, making long-distance travel more convenient for EV owners while maintaining the familiar convenience of traditional gas station locations.
