
EVgo Opens First Public Fast Charging Hub for Rideshare Drivers in Los Angeles
EVgo, partnering with General Motors' Maven Gig, unveils a groundbreaking public-rideshare fast charging hub in Los Angeles, setting a new standard for shared mobility charging infrastructure.
Located at 8985 Venice Blvd, the Venice Crossroads station features nine 50 kW DC fast chargers strategically divided between ride-sharing and public use:
- 7 chargers dedicated to Maven Gig vehicles
- 2 chargers available for public use
The facility marks a significant milestone as the first dedicated charging hub specifically designed to support both rideshare operators and general public EV drivers. All chargers will feature EVgo's Autocharge capability, enabling automatic charging initiation for registered vehicles.
This innovative hub represents the future of urban charging infrastructure, combining dedicated fleet support with public accessibility in a single, convenient location.
