
Dillon Steuer Edges Out Matt Sheppard in Thrilling STSS Speed Showcase Victory at Port Royal
Dillon Steuer held off Matt Sheppard in a thrilling finish to win the $12,000 Short Track Super Series Speed Showcase at Port Royal Speedway. Starting from the outside pole position, Steuer led the entire 60-lap modified race despite intense pressure.

Brandon Grosso challenged early before hitting the wall and retiring. Alex Yankowski then moved into second but exited with mechanical issues at lap 39. This set up a dramatic late-race battle between Steuer and Sheppard.

The final four laps featured intense slider moves between the leaders, with Sheppard pulling alongside Steuer coming to the checkered flag. Steuer prevailed by inches for his biggest career victory. Mike Mahaney completed the podium.

"I'm sure a lot of you guys are cheering because I beat him, not because you're my fans," Steuer joked in victory lane, referring to besting the dominant Sheppard. "But maybe I made a few tonight."
