Cadillac Dominates Second WEC Prologue Session with 1-2 Finish

Cadillac dominated the second FIA WEC Prologue session at Qatar's Lusail International Circuit, securing the top two positions with their V-Series.Rs. Alex Lynn in the No. 12 set the fastest time of 1m39.575s during a qualifying simulation on medium tires, while Sebastien Bourdais in the No. 38 followed closely with 1m39.788s.

The AF Corse Ferrari 499P claimed third place, with Antonio Fuoco setting a time just two-tenths behind the leader. Penske Porsche and AF Corse rounded out the top five positions. Toyota managed eighth place, ahead of both Peugeots, which demonstrated impressive endurance with extended runs on single tire sets.

Notable performances included:

  • Peugeot No. 93 completed consecutive 32 and 33-lap stints on the same hard tires
  • Porsche Penske No. 6 underwent an engine change and limited running
  • Aston Martin THOR Team Valkyries completed 174 combined laps

In LMGT3, AKKODIS ASP led with the No. 87 Lexus RC F setting the fastest time of 1m54.959s by Jose Maria Lopez. The Corvette No. 33 secured second place, followed by Vista AF Corse Ferraris in third and fourth positions.

A significant setback occurred for Proton Competition's No. 77 Ford Mustang LMGT3, which suffered major fire damage and likely won't participate in tomorrow's sessions. The team aims to have the car ready for Wednesday's Free Practice 1.
