Josh Berry has a fan in Ryan Blaney following his first Cup Series victory at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, where Berry showcased his potential as part of the Wood Brothers Racing team.

As a Team Penske alliance partner, Berry works closely with Blaney, Joey Logano, and Austin Cindric during weekly debriefs. Despite being less experienced in Cup Series racing, Berry actively contributes to team discussions, earning praise from 2023 series champion Blaney.

"Don't be afraid to speak up, because everyone is here for a reason," Blaney advised Berry. "Every driver and crew chief is sitting in here because they're really good at what they do, and your input matters."

In his first year driving the iconic No. 21 Ford Mustang, Berry has proven to be a valuable addition to the team. Blaney describes him as both "fast" and "incredibly smart." The pairing with crew chief Miles Stanley, a longtime Penske employee, has also proven successful.

Berry's victory marks the first win for the Ford camp this season. Currently, Blaney and Logano hold seventh and eighth positions in the championship standings, with Cindric in 21st place. Last year, all four cars qualified for the postseason, a feat previously achieved only in 2020.

"That thing should be contending for wins; that group deserves it," Blaney said of the Wood Brothers team. "They're not done winning. People were excited for them to get 100, and they'll continue to rack it on."

The strong alliance between Team Penske and Wood Brothers Racing, sharing resources and personnel, positions both teams for continued success throughout the season.
