Alex Bowman Aims for Breakout NASCAR Season in 2025 After Strong Finish
The way the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season ended has Alex Bowman feeling optimistic about his Hendrick Motorsports team's prospects for 2025.

Bowman's No. 48 Ally team secured five top-10 finishes in the final 10 races of 2024. His victory on the Chicago street course in July not only earned him a playoff spot but provided crucial momentum for the season's end.
Despite being eliminated in the second round of playoffs due to a post-race inspection disqualification at Charlotte Roval, Bowman's team maintained strong performance. They captured a pole position at Bristol Motor Speedway and led 53 laps during the postseason.
The late-season success marked a significant turnaround from earlier challenges. Bowman had struggled after returning from injuries in previous seasons, including a concussion in 2022 and a back injury in early 2023 that sidelined him for three races.
Looking ahead to 2025, Bowman's primary focus is clear: winning multiple races. His only multi-win season came in 2021, and his best championship finish with Hendrick Motorsports remains sixth place in 2020.
"We need to go win races. That's the biggest thing," Bowman stated, emphasizing the importance of building on their late-2024 momentum. The team's improved performance and restored confidence set a promising foundation for the upcoming season.
