The 2025 Bathurst 12 Hour is shaping up as a pivotal moment in GT racing, potentially marking the last major showdown between German manufacturers Audi, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz at Mount Panorama.

This year's event features 23 cars, including 19 GT3 entries. While the overall field is smaller than 2024, the quality remains exceptional. Notable entries include:

Porsche:

  • Absolute Racing: Matt Campbell, Ayhcancan Güven, Alessio Picariello
  • Manthey Racing: Laurin Heinrich, Morris Schuring, Sam and Yasser Shahin

Mercedes-Benz:

  • 75 Express: Luca Stolz, Jules Gounon
  • GruppeM: Maro Engel, Mikaël Grenier, Maxime Martin
  • Craft-Bamboo: Lucas Auer, Maxy Götz, Jayden Ojeda

BMW:

  • Team WRT: Valentino Rossi, Raffaele Marciello, Charles Weerts (#46)
  • Team WRT: Kelvin and Sheldon van der Linde, Augusto Farfus (#32)

Audi:

  • Melbourne Performance Centre: Broc Feeney, Liam Talbot, Ricardo Feller

The event format includes:

  • Two 30-minute qualifying sessions on February 1
  • 15-minute Pirelli Pole Battle at 4:05pm AEDT
  • Race start: 5:45am AEDT on February 2

Looking ahead, 2026 could see new manufacturers enter the fray, with potential entries from Chevrolet's Corvette GT3.R and Ford's Mustang GT3.
